C-LED, a Cefla Group company, will be exhibiting – for the very first time – at the international Greentech 2024 fair in Amsterdam, one of the most important trade fairs, especially as regards the high-tech horticulture sector.
From 11th to 13th June, the C-LED stand will be displaying several new LED lighting solutions for indoor crops, such as lamps for micropropagation labs, lamps for vertical farming and artificial lighting solutions for greenhouses.
Moreover, a new high-efficiency lamp for indoor crops will be on display. This has specifically been designed for vertical farming, a form of urban agriculture that makes use of vertical spaces as opposed to horizontal ones, generally in indoor facilities such as greenhouses or purpose-built constructions. This latest lamp delivers greater irradiation yet consumes less energy, maximising crop yields and shortening growing cycles.
The fair will also be the perfect platform to launch a new technology – based on a ‘smart’ weighing system – that improves plant irrigation efficiency in specialised nurseries. Taking an eco-friendly approach, it lets workers quickly assess the health of the plants and decide whether/when to irrigate, thus saving water.
